Abiyoyo is a gift shop and toy store located on Main Street, in the heart of Wellfleet. In business for over forty years, we take great pride in the Wellfleet tradition that we've become. We've watched generations of happy children grow to adulthood who then bring their children (and grandchildren!) to our store to make their own special memories. The whole family will enjoy our shirts, sweats, beach apparel, sandals, sunglasses, baby gifts, toys, kites, art supplies, children’s books, and so much more.
Abiyoyo's name is derived from a folk tale which was adapted by Pete Seeger. The story speaks to strength of community, to courage and creativity and to forgiveness and reuniting....all good themes for our much-loved town of Wellfleet.

Alla Pontbriand is a decorative artist based in Wellfleet, MA. As a trained professional with a background in fine art and interior design, Pontbriand’s expertise helps clients create curated, luxurious spaces that evoke atmosphere and tell a story. Her work is rooted in her heritage, with a focus on thoughtful, timeless designs that sit as naturally in historic homes as they do in contemporary interiors.
Alla Pontbriand also offers a range of accessible, ready-made items—including watercolors, greeting cards, wallpapers, hand-painted lampshades, candlesticks, and frames—available through her online store or at her tiny brick-and-mortar shop in Wellfleet on Cape Cod.
All DACHA goods are hand-painted by Alla using traditional techniques that emphasize the character and integrity of handcraft. She celebrates the joy of mark-making and its ability to add soul and individuality to a room or object.

Frances moved her Wellfleet location from the quaint summer barn to a gorgeous, spacious Greek Revival house in the center of Wellfleet in 2016. In this new space Frances is expanding her creative vision and focusing her deep experience in apparel design on curating fabulous collections that are unique, interesting, fun, functional and on the edge of high fashion. Inspired by the ever-changing market and her passion for travel she seeks out interesting fabrics, style, construction and form that continue to excite her returning customers and win over new ones.
These select clothes and accessories created by smaller design studios and well-known designers from the USA and Europe, including her own Frances Francis label, can be found in both the Wellfleet and Orleans boutiques, which are open nearly year-round.

Our selection of fish, lobsters, shellfish, and smoked fish comes from over 40 local species brought to our store daily. We carefully hand select our seafood from Wellfleet, Chatham, and Provincetown “day boats” so that we have the very best seafood to offer. We fillet all of our own fish to ensure only the finest quality for our customers. SICKDAY Surf Shop opened its doors in April of 2005. Its first location was on Commercial street in Wellfleet where is began as a small, grassroots surf operation. But even before it opened its doors officially it was already in business in the mind of owner and Wellfleet local, Olaf Valli. The shop name is based on wordplay. Take a "sick day" and go surfing instead. If the surf is good, surfers will call it a "sick day" at the beach. Olaf says that he dreamt the name many months after deciding to open a surf shop and pondering a name for it. Olaf began surfing in his late teens after a childhood friend introduced him to the sport, taking him out on a surf session at Maguire's Landing in Wellfleet.
He instantly fell in love. During this time in his life he was attending school in CA, which provided him a ripe opportunity for both surf culture and waves. It was also during this time that he decided he would enter the field of computers. He moved back home and began working as a computer-networking technician. After a day in the office, he couldn't wait to get in the water. Surfing provided a much needed escape. The combination of daily surf sessions and entrepreneurial heritage laid the perfect groundwork for opening his business.
In September of 2004, Olaf married Angie (his college sweetheart) and they began to work on making this dream a reality. Where Olaf is the heart of Sickday- knowledgeable in many aspects of surfing, Angie is the mind- organizing the behind the scenes aspects of the business. Together, they have worked to grow the business from its humble beginning to its present home on 361 Main Street in Wellfleet. It began as surf shop that almost solely peddled surf hardware goods but it has now expanded to paddleboards, beach toys, name brand apparel, sandals, sunglasses, surf art, etc. and has branched into the skate world as well. In addition to selling products, Sickday still continues to teach lessons and rent all necessities for surfing.
Over the years as the business has grown, Olaf and Angie have given back to the Community by offering free lessons to many of the youth on Cape through the Wellfleet Recreational program. The surf shop also sponsors local surfers and skaters providing talented athletes with an affordable means to acquire their much-needed equipment. In addition, Sickday is a supporter of the Surfrider Foundation and Christian Surfers.

I spent many summers on Cape Cod. Daughter of a museum curator, dad, and artist mom, I was always the girl on the beach with the latest fashion and interior design magazine in her hands.
When it became time to pick a major in college, I chose Interior Design, but fashion called me back time and time again. Shortly after graduation and a stint in the fine jewelry buying office at Bloomingdale's flagship store in NYC, in 1989, I made the permanent move to the Cape. I worked for a variety of small businesses and loved making connections with all my customers at each one.
In 2018 I had the opportunity to open my own boutique. My store represents who I am. I only buy what I love. Each piece is chosen thoughtfully, from that perfect blouse with just the right details to Fair Trade jewelry and vegan bags. Whether a brightly colored vase, a mid-century modern printed tea towel to wooden Christmas decorations, you'll always find a fun, unique, and affordable gift.
