    Fast YES; fried NO

    Quality YES; expensive NO

    Creative YES; trendy NO

Winslow’s Tavern

  • Located right in the center of Wellfleet, Winslow’s Tavern, formerly known as the Isaiah Young house is a Colonial Revivalist building that dates to the 1870’s. In the 1920’s Massachusetts Governor Channing Cox used it as a summertime home where his guests included President Calvin Coolidge. From the Depression era through the 1950’s it was a boarding house, then in 1963 it was converted into a restaurant called Aesop’s Tables. The building was renovated and re-opened by the Barry family as Winslow’s Tavern in 2005. For the past 14 years, Winslow’s has been managed by a husband and wife team, Phillip Hunt and Tracey Barry Hunt who live in Wellfleet year-round with their two sons.

At Winslow’s, you can enjoy fabulous al fresco dining on a lovely tree-lined terrace or our garden courtyard.
