ABOUT THE WELLFLEET CULTURAL DISTRICT
Supporting and elevating the creative economy of Wellfleet’s downtown Cultural Loop.
Designated in 2017 by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Wellfleet Cultural District celebrates the town’s unique blend of vibrant arts, rich history, and working marine industries. Centered around Wellfleet’s downtown and marina, the District forms a walkable cultural loop highlighting the community’s artistic, historic, and maritime traditions. With over 60 cultural assets—including galleries, cultural institutions, artisan shops, eateries, and a working marina—the District reflects the distinctive spirit that makes Wellfleet a special place to live and visit.
