Join Stacy Booth, foodways historian, as she explores the food and drink traditions of 18th-century Massachusetts during the winter holiday season. Discover how Puritan opposition to Christmas shaped colonial celebrations and how residents continued English traditions through seasonal gatherings and festivities such as Twelfth Night. Through the foods and beverages of the period, this presentation reveals how faith, culture, and culinary traditions came together at the colonial table.

Stacy Booth brings 17th-and 18th-century New England foodways to life through engaging presentations and historic cooking demonstrations. With nearly 20 years of living history experience, she shares the stories, traditions, and everyday food practices of the past through hearth and campfire cooking, outdoor bread oven baking, and interactive programs. Her experience includes Plimoth Patuxet, Coggeshall Farm Museum, and Revolutionary War reenactments throughout the Northeast and Canada. Stacy is the proprietor of Forgotten Recipes and is currently pursuing her master's degree in Gastronomy at Boston University.
