Mass Audubon
Spend the day within the heart of the Cape Cod National Seashore-Nauset Marsh, an extensive salt marsh system with a fascinating natural and cultural history. With an experienced naturalist and paddler as our guide, we can expect to see staging shorebirds, feeding herons and egrets, and congregations of seals.
During the trip, we will round historic Fort Hill into Town Cove as we make our way to Hopkins Island. We will then continue through the marsh to the Nauset Beach spit for a short walk to the ocean.
Currents and winds are a factor to consider in this system, and sustained periods of paddling is required of participants. Recent, previous paddling experience is required.
