Wellfleet Preservation Hall
Come by to say hello to Terry & Nancy and celebrate their show "Immersive Nature: Observed and Imagined." This event is free, and all are welcome!
Artists Terry Gips and Nancy Jenner’s work examines our
relationship with nature to acknowledge our surroundings are part of us. Jenner
explores our relationship to, and impact on, the natural world. Gips asks viewers to look deeper and see our connectedness with nature. Formally and conceptually, there is a reflective quality to their work. The cut pieces of Jenner’s coastlines and the macro view of Gips’ plant diptychs offer viewers opportunities to observe and imagine familiar elements anew.
Threads of conversations between the artists’ work provide alternate views and new
perspectives of what we “know” and present questions and mysteries for the viewer to explore.
