Art Reception: Paul Schulenburg
Please join us for an artist reception honoring Paul Schulenburg!
Paul is the featured Artist of the Month in February.
On Saturday, February 3rd, the Hall will host Paul and several other artists for a live painting demonstration from 3-5:30, with complimentary appetizers and beverages served from 5-7pm.
This is a free event open to the public. All are welcomed!
Paul attended Boston University College of Fine Arts in the late 1970’s. Contrary to the trends of that time, Boston University provided an educational foundation that emphasized the fundamentals of classical art training: anatomy and form, color, composition and draftsmanship.He received his BFA degree in painting in 1979.
In the 1980s and ‘90s Paul created artwork for publication. His work won several awards and has been published worldwide. Former clients include: Digital, Cigna, Fidelity, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Sunoco, TIME, U.S. News and World Report, The Wall Street Journal, Cahners, Prentice Hall, Houghton Mifflin and Ziff-Davis.
In 2000, Paul transitioned into working as a full-time painter. His painting of a Cape Cod fisherman entitled “Shoveling Ice” was the cover art for American Art Collector Magazine in July 2007. Fine Art Connoisseur magazine featured Schulenburg in an article in 2021. He is a member of the Salmagundi Art Club, Oil Painters of America, and Portrait Society of America.
Paul has had solo shows and been involved in many group shows at the Cape Cod Museum of Art,and included in juried shows at Provincetown Art Association Museum and is in their permanent collections.
Paul is represented by the Addison Art Gallery in Orleans MA.
