Cynthia Bargar's poems have appeared or about to appear in many journals including Gargoyle, Rogue Agent, Book of Matches, LUMINA Literary Journal, Comstock Review, Loch Raven Review, and Stoneboat Literary Journal. She was active in the student anti-Vietnam War movement and the Sanctuary City movement, and she has organized around immigrant rights, women's rights, and struggles for racial, economic, and housing justice. For a dozen years, she served on the Board of Directors of Resist, a foundation that supports people's movements for justice and liberation by redistributing resources back to frontline communities at the forefront of change. Sleeping in the Dead Girl's Room is her first collection of poetry.
Wendy Drexler is a recipient of a 2022 artist fellowship from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Her fourth collection, Notes from the Column of Memory, was published in September 2022. Previous collections include 2017's Before There Was Before. Her poems have appeared in Barrow Street, Lily Poetry Review, Nimrod, Prairie Schooner, Salamander, Solstice, South Florida Poetry Review, Sugar House, The Atlanta Review, The Mid-American Review, The Hudson Review, The Threepenny Review, and the Valparaiso Poetry Review, among others.
