Creating the Intercultural Field features first-person autobiographical accounts from twelve internationally renowned figures within the field of intercultural studies and communication. Through richly personal narratives, the book traces how these pioneers synthesized insights from anthropology, psychology, sociology, communication, linguistics, and education to forge a new interdisciplinary field of inquiry, research, and practice. In this engaging presentation, Dr. Yalowitz will offer insights and reflections on the process and practice of creating this book. He will discuss his role as co-editor, wherein he worked intimately with twelve authors, a co-editor, and an international publishing company.
