Cyanotype Workshop
Learn how to make your own blue and white prints!
Join visiting artists Liz Shepherd and Suzanne Moseley for a free cyanotype workshop at Wellfleet Public Library. Learn about the history of cyanotype and how contemporary artists today are using it as an alternative photographic process for experimentation and expression. Then experience first-hand the magic of a flexible process which is also one of the earliest forms of scientific botanical documentation. No prior experience necessary. Adults and children (age 10 and up) welcome! The artists will bring materials, but if you are inspired to collect your own things to make your cyanotype, teel tree to bring something collected from nature (flowers, leaves, feathers, dried seaweed), small objects with an interesting silhouette, or a piece of lace.
