First Congregational Church of Wellfleet

Our communities here on the Cape, both Indigenous and Colonial, were shaped by the Spring herring run. This seasonal abundance provided much needed food after the deprivation of winter, as well as animal feed, fertilizers, and many other uses. Join us on Sunday, April 26th at Pilgrim Lake in Orleans, to observe the herring as they move through the run. We will be joined by Abby Archer from the Barnstable County Cooperative Extension. Participants can either meet at the First Congregational parking lot (200 Main St. Wellfleet) at 1:30 to carpool, or can head directly to the Spring Lake parking area (80 Herring Brook Way, Orleans)

All are welcome
