Exploring Coastal Cape Cod: Marconi Beach and Atlantic White Cedar Swamp
The ever-changing coastline of Cape Cod is vibrant, diverse and dynamic. Barrier beaches, salt marshes, tidal flats, coastal heathlands, and maritime forests are just some of the incredible systems we will explore in this series that celebrates these unique and essential habitats that dot our coastline.
These hikes will traverse through the varied coastal landscapes of Cape Cod - from dramatic dunes and bluffs of the Atlantic, to the vast and vibrant vistas of our salt marsh systems, and to the beautiful expanses along the tidal flats and barrier beaches of Cape Cod Bay. Specific locations for the entire series are listed below and are offered as individual sessions.
February 3: Great Island, Wellfleet
March 2: Marconi Beach and the Atlantic White Cedar Swamp
March 23: Coast Guard Beach, Eastham
