Good & Kissed
In the ultimate act of absolution, what started out as a Facebook rant about betrayal and redemption is now a powerful one-woman play. “Good & Kissed,” written and performed by Miranda Jonté, is both laugh-out-loud funny and heart-wrenchingly sad—often at the same time.
Ms. Jonté chronicles a long-term relationship that goes south and unmoors her younger self from her own knowledge of who she is. Through her struggle to regain her self-worth, the audience finds itself asking the same questions: Who am I when no one is around? Do I like that person?
Good & Kissed premiered at the Midtown International Theatre Fest in NYC in 2017, and was performed at Capitol Fringe in Washington, DC in July 2019, at Firehouse Center For The Arts in Newburyport in February 2020, at CCFTA for a 3 week run in October/November 2021, and a night at the Academy in August 2023.
For Mature Audiences.
