Wellfleet Public Library

Join us on June 21 (International Horseshoe Crab Day) for hands-on, minds-on fun interaction with horseshoe crabs for the whole family:

• Educational display illustrating the importance of HSCs

• HSC eggs and baby/juvenile HSCs in a small aquarium tank

• One or two live adult HSCs in appropriate tubs - participants can touch the crabs (and even take a selfie) and we will explain/point out their key features

• Display of HSC items and artifacts, including a model HSC that shows internal anatomy, HSC molts, and various pieces of HSC art

• Activities and takeaways: HSC stickers, HSC origami (instructions provided), 3D paper models that kids can make (adults too!), and an informational handout

• And more!
