July:

Tyke Hike, July 1, 10, 15, 24, & 31 - 9:30-10:30 am

Take an age-appropriate adventure through the sanctuary, exploring outdoor spaces alive with wildlife.

Turtle Patrol - July 1 & 8 4:30-6:00 pm

Search for signs of nesting activity and learn about the unique life history of Diamondback Terrapins.

Fireflies After Dark July 3, 8:15-9:15 pm

Decode the secret language of firefly flashes, revealing how different species communicate, and, even deceive one another.

Creature Feature - July 17 & 28, 2:00-3:00 pm

Meet a live animal before heading outside to explore the habitat where that creature actually lives.

Early Bird Walk - July 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, & 31, 8:00-10:00 am

Immerse yourself in the sounds of morning birdsong while searching for songbirds, shorebirds, and wading birds.

Shorebirds of Cape Cod - July 7, 16, 23, & 30, Various times

Make your way out to the beach and tidal flats, scanning the marsh edges and mudflats for the remarkable birds that pass through.

Accessible Summer Birding - July 9 & 23, 9:30-10:30 am

Explore the sanctuary’s accessible All Persons Trail while learning how to identify bird species.

Fish Printing - July 28, 4:00-5:00 pm

Meet live fish up close, then paint a fish replica, pressing it onto paper or your own white t-shirt.

Kayaking Cape Cod - July 1, 11, 15, 16, 25, 28, & 29 - Various times

Explore stunning locations across the Outer Cape by kayak, with every turn revealing something new.

Marine Life Cruise

July 11 - 6:00-8:00 pm

Set sail for an evening of marine discovery. Get an up close look as sampling nets are used to pull up ocean creatures.

Seashore Ramble - July 2, 8, 10, 17, 22, & 24, Various times

Use dip nets and magnifiers to search for the crabs, fish, turtles, and other marine animals that live in the intertidal zone.

Special Events

Campfire Songs and Stories - July 26, 6:30-8:00 pm

Gather around a glowing fire, enjoying s’mores as rousing songs and stories unfold.
