Medicare for All means access to health care for everyone, not only those with the ability to pay high premiums. Medicare for All means real savings for individuals, businesses and municipalities instead of high salaries to insurance and pharmaceutical executives. Medicare for All makes sense. In Massachusetts, the Medicare for All in MA legislation has failed to get out of committee, despite overwhelming support by the public. Most recently, Wellfleet's Town Meeting endorsed this legislation and asked our legislators to do the same. Dr. Brian O'Malley, a long time advocate of Medicare for All and member of the Cape Cod Coalition for Universal Health Care (CCCUHC), will present the logic, the cost savings, and the challenges of making Medicare for All in MA a reality.
