M Body 2
The journey continues. Embodiment is not a given, but an endless quest to reach deeper into, and to celebrate, our bodily inheritances, capacities and potentials. Often masked by broad social convention and its effects on our perceptions and movement, our deeper selves remain hidden, waiting to be called out, welcomed back, allowed to play freely and enthusiastically.
M Body 2 is a contemporary dance concert about relating to oneself and with others, sharing culture and building new community. The concert explores how we combine with those we move with, following and guiding, inspiring and supporting. This year’s Movimento Project continues to work with original video, spoken word and a broad musical palette to enhance the experience of multi-modal immersion in the questions of body as environment as well as agent.
Come join the Movimento Project dancer-choreographers as we continue to explore M-body, the approach and act of allowing time for depth, resonance, creativity and emergence in movement.
