Remnants: As Far Back as Memory Reaches

These intimately-sized sculptures, mixed media drawings, and collages suggest elements of war, the female body, nature, power, and spirit.
Marilyn Banner has exhibited her mixed media work in over 30 solo and 100 group shows across the US and abroad. Her work is in numerous private and public collections including Hebrew Union College in NYC, Sheppard Pratt in Baltimore, and the Embassy of Costa Rica in Washington DC. She is the recipient of ten residency fellowships to the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and was awarded a Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation VCCA Creative Fellows Grant. Her work was featured in "Encaustic Art in the 21st Century" by Anne Lee and E. Ashley Rooney. Banner is a member of Ceres Gallery in New York City and a participant in the Yellow Chair Salon.
