Susan Glaspell's "Trifles": A Staged Reading Presented by the Wellfleet Library Playreading Group
In 1916, Susan Glaspell's one-act play Trifles premiered at Provincetown's Wharf Theater. Written during the first wave feminist movement, the play contrasts how women act in public and in private as well as how they perform in front of other women versus how they perform in front of men. As we celebrate Cape coo's age of Bohemia, please join us at the for a staged reading of Trifles, read by members of the Wellfleet Library's playreading group and introduced by Mary Jane Treacy.
