Deborah will introduce us to design principles of the New Perennial Movement, whose members (such as Piet Oudolf) inspired a world-changing, shift toward naturalistic gardens. She will discuss this new concept of structure that balances coherence and contrast to approximates nature's own. The talk includes her own database of New Perennial plant combinations used to create gardens, and will include practical "dos" and "don'ts" for solving the problem of excessive contrast.
