Wellfleet Public Library

Becky and Dan will present the history of the Wellfleet Road Race, Gull Pond swim lessons, Wellfleet Little League, and the Wellfleet Recreation Program. The 4th of July Road Race is celebrating its 50th year and is the second longest continually run road race on Cape Cod, eclipsed only by the Falmouth Road Race. Dr. Daniel Rosenberg is a professor at Barry University and was a runner in that first race. Becky Rosenberg is a long-time director of the Wellfleet Recreation Department and the first female allowed to play Little League Baseball for the town. They will use old photos and special guests to cover the wide-ranging topic of town sports over the years and how they shaped the community.
