FOUNDATIONS OF ACTING
Ages 13 – 18
Wednesdays 3:30 – 5:00, starting March 12 (6 sessions)

This course explores the foundations of acting and live performance through exercises, games, scene work, and analysis, culminating in a presentation of scenes. The class aims to develop and deepen the actor’s skills for the stage, including character development, physical expression, and audition etiquette. This acting class is perfect for both experienced and beginning actors. Come as you are and let’s have some fun!
Rebecca Berger (she/hers) is a washashore director and stage manager who thrills in telling complex, deeply human stories with a specific focus on the experiences of women and queer folks. She is fascinated by how the intricacies of language, both spoken and unspoken, can shift our perspectives from the stage. Favorite directing credits include: The Fade-Away Advantage (The Provincetown Theater); What the Constitution Means to Me (The Provincetown Theater); Tiny Beautiful Things (The Provincetown Theater); The Wolves (Bates College); Reefer Madness (Asst., Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater); Straight White Men (Asst., Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater); As You Like It (Asst., Saratoga Shakespeare Festival). Favorite stage managing credits include: The Pickleball Wars (Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater); Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus (Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater); The Birth of the Pill (New York Stage and Film).
Tuition for each class is $25. Full scholarships are available to any student. Transportation to WHAT may be available from schools, please ask Tia for more information.
