Henna For Kids with Cape Cod Henna

  • Wellfleet Public Library 55 West Main St Wellfleet, MA 02667 United States (map)

Wellfleet Public Library

What is henna? The powdered leaves of the henna plant mixed into a paste with pure essential oils and lemon juice has been used for body decoration for thousands of years. A native plant created an artistic culture shared by generations of women throughout Asia, Middle-Eastern, and North African countries. It is believed that henna decoration will bring good luck. The henna paste used for this event is hand-mixed by Cape Cod Henna's artists. Simple, safe ingredients are henna powder, pure essential oils, lemon juice, and sugar. The paste dries in 10-15 minutes, the stain takes 3 days to reach its peak color, and the tattoos last for 7-12 days. Aftercare instructions are important!

Free to children ages 7+. Space is limited - registration required.

Stop by the circulation desk or call (508) 349-0310 to register!

This event is made possible through the Friends of the Wellfleet Public Library.
