Love at First Grape, My Journey from Wine Enthusiast to Novelist
With Jacqueline Fein-Zachary
Jacqueline Fein-Zachary was always a wine aficionado, but it wasn't until she traveled to France with her wife that she truly fell in love. As the two visited vineyards, something about them took hold of both her heart and mind. Before long, she had started her own wine cellar. After retirement, she started working part-time at Truro Vineyards, where she fell in love with the entire life cycle of grapes, vineyards, and winemaking. This experience inspired her to write her new novel, Harvest Dreams, with a vineyard holding court as the story's setting. Come join our talk with Fein-Zachary as she presents fascinating behind-the-scenes photographs and stories from grape harvests and how they inspired her finished product.
A Virginia native, Jacqueline Fein-Zachary is most proud of her women's rights activism in Connecticut and her professional life as a French and Spanish teacher. When she met the love of her life, Valerie, they traveled together to France, Italy, England, Israel, Greece, and South Africa. Most wonderful of all, together they helped win same-sex marriage rights in Massachusetts. Jackie and Valerie live in Boston and on Cape Cod.
