Buy tickets HERE.
Join us on Thursday, October 26th at 7 pm for a concert with Acoustic Nomads!
At the crossroads between South American folk music and Northern Americana, you will find Acoustic Nomads.
Acoustic Nomads is a band of rising stars in the New England acoustic music scene, interweaving jazz and newgrass with folkloric traditions from North and South America. The group’s influences span Latin American, Appalachian, Jazz and Celtic music. Their innovative approach to composition expresses all the colors and flavors of the Pan-American experience, and their unique sound is a result of the players harnessing their varied musical interests and joyously exploring uncharted musical territory together.
Chief among their goals is to show audiences the diversity within and commonality between many different musical traditions, creating curious, compassionate and open-minded music fans the world over. Their performances maintain the truest spirit of folkloric music while delving into modern improvisation and sophisticated chamber music arrangements, truly showing how different cultures can come together and join in the celebration of art and humanity.
Acoustic Nomads have released three albums: Quartet (2023) and The Abominable String Band Vol. 1 & 2 (2021 & 2022 respectively). They are all available on Bandcamp and all major streaming platforms.

Wellfleet Historical Society & Museum Presents: I Remember Wellfleet with Dwight Estey
Wellfleet Public Library
Wellfleet Historical Society & Museum Presents: I Remember Wellfleet with Dwight Estey
For a long time painting, singing, writing poetry, playing music, and acting have been deeply imbedded in Wellfleet culture. Everyone has memories of music teachers, instruments played, their first time acting in a school play, and neighbors of exceptional artistry. Added to that homegrown talent, masters of the arts have carved their niche in Wellfleet's culture. Drawn by both an inspiring majestic ocean and the solitude allowing for uninterrupted creativity, artists, writers, musicians, and actors found Wellfleet a place offering escape and community.
Time to share your stories of that actor found flipping burgers at a Rec Department cookout... Or of a starlet who stayed at Belvernon... or well- known people who ran through the town both literally and figuratively... or people whose names were widely known, but when they laid a towel next to you it barely merited a glance. As local culture wore off on them, their presence also added to the richness of the community. They often actedin plays, gave talks and musical performances to fund good causes, wrote about the Cape's beauty, and turned Wellfleet into a Gallery Town.
Although it was never in fashion to make a big deal about their presence, it is fitting that we record their time in town through the telling of stories. This is the time it will be appropriate to "name names" and "let it be known" - in a good way. Come and share your stories as Dwight Estey guides us through another hour of "I Remember Wellfleet."
